This range of products span vertically between floors, and
are designed to suit individual conditions on a one-off basis.
The function is to allow the designer to arrive at structural
solutions which are not hampered by normal considerations of “slenderness
ratios” with regard to brick piers and masonry panels
between openings.
Technical
Data
VEW Windposts are used to increase stiffness
(and resistance to windload) of masonry panels, they
consist of top and bottom connections, either plates
or cleats separated by a structural section which is
normally formed to increase stiffness.
Whilst head and sole connections are designed with specific
applications in mind, the posts allow adjustment by the
use of slotted connections for the ties.
Windposts, Spandrel and Parapet Posts may be designed
as simply supported beams or propped cantilevers, with
implications for the structural sectionand the nature
and size of head andbase fixings.

using isolated setscrews.
Technical
Data
Continuous
Bracket or Angle Support systems are designed to
suit specific site conditions.
Fixings for systems are dependent on substrate, but
may be restrained to concrete or steel.
