Vista Engineering brings lifesaving technology to the SK23 7JN area
Vista Engineering is pleased to announce that it has provided a defibrillator for the use of its staff and local residents in the SK23 7JN area. This lifesaving technology can make the difference between life and death in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest.
A defibrillator is a portable device that delivers an electric shock to the heart in an attempt to restore its normal rhythm. Unfortunately, sudden cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death in the UK and with every minute that passes without treatment reduces the chances of survival by 10%.
“We are proud to be able to provide this important piece of equipment to our staff and the residents surrounding our head office in Whaley Bridge” said Managing Director Phil Travis. “The more of these units that are readily available to the public around the country the better, and we are happy to be playing our part”.
The defibrillator, accessible to anyone in the area who needs it in an emergency, is located in the left car park of Vista Engineering (SK23 7JN). Therefore, we would encourage everyone in the area to familiarise themselves with the location of the defibrillator. The device is easy to use and comes with clear instructions, so even those without medical training can use it to help save a life.
