Timber Engineering Hardware Guide
Our Timber Engineering Hardware range offers a comprehensive collection of connectors produced from galvanised steel to BS EN 10346:2009 + G275 as standard or stainless steel to order. Galvanised hangers must be fixed using 30mm x 3.75mm sheradised square twist nails in all pre-punched holes.
At the Vista Group we offer 5 options, the TC Truss Clip, the MTS Mono Truss Shoe, the GTS Girder Truss Shoe, the GS Glide Shoe and the NP Hand Nail Plate.
Truss Clip provides an inexpensive and effective method of fixing trussed rafter to wallplates. Can also be used for general applications as a multi-purpose connector to provide wind restraint whenever two timber members cross. Manufactured from 0.9mm thick galvanised steel.
Mono Truss Shoe is designed for the support of mono, short-span, or in-fill truss where the lower weight loadings are required over a standard Girder Truss Shoe. Also manufactured from 0.9mm thick galvanised steel.
Designed to provide a structural connection between a truss and a girder truss or beam. Features a location tab allowing easy accurate alignment of the hanger. Suitable for face fix or wrap-over fixings. Manufactured from 1.2mm thick galvanised steel.
Glide Shoe is a purpose made galvanised metal bracket designed to allow raised tie or scissor trussed rafters to achieve designed deflection, both horizontally and vertically.
This product offers a cost effective method of jointing structural timber (such as site built trusses) simply by nailing through the pre-punched holes. Plates must be fixed on both sides of the timber. Pressed dimple design adds strength and rigidity to the component whilst also assisting in the location of the nails. Manufactured from 0.9mm thick galvanised steel.
